Amman Arab University is launching a new Bachelor Degree Specialization in Audit and Management Control in collaboration with Big 5 firm BDO Jordan

The Amman Arab University is in the process of launching a Bachelor of Audit and Management Control, which is the first of its kind in the Middle East.
This initiative was introduced by the Amman Arab University in close collaboration with BDO Jordan in order to satisfy the diverse needs of the labor market and bridge the gap between education output and market needs.
Witnessing a steady increase throughout recent decades, the demand for the audit profession as a whole is greater than ever and is not sufficiently covered within existing educational curriculums.
Mr. Rami Samman the Managing Partner of BDO Jordan, and founding party of the educational initiative said,” Part of BDO Jordan’s social responsibility is to proactively seek opportunities which aim at promoting and fostering the capabilities of the generation of future auditors in view of the fact that their function has become of crucial importance nowadays. Thus, the establishment of a specialized curriculum is designed to boost student’s knowledge and capabilities to successfully master the audit profession within today’s dynamic work environment.”
The precise role of BDO Jordan is comprised of providing concentrated knowledge-transfer, alongside the adoption of an oversight role and advisor for students. BDO Jordan as a professional audit and accounting firm, ranked as Big 5 within Jordan intends to provide a training and retention program to outstanding students enrolled within the program to ultimately serve as career development initiative.
The acting President of the Amman Arab University Dr. Ghassan Kanaan emphasized that this agreement was in line with the University’s strategy as part of efforts to reduce the gap between higher education and scientific research, as well as an adaptation to the requirements of the national economy and the associated increased demand for the profession of auditing and management control, alongside the necessary expertise required in order to keep pace with the rapid development in the field of financial sciences.
