BDO Iraq is expanding its team and looking to attract experienced AML and compliance professionals to support advisory engagements across the banking and financial services sector.
This role provides exposure to AML/CFT assessments, regulatory compliance, and governance enhancement projects, aligned with both local regulations and international best practices.

Nationality: Iraqi National
Key Responsibilities:

• Support AML/CFT assessments, compliance reviews, and governance enhancement initiatives
• Assist banks and financial institutions with regulatory compliance and reporting requirements
• Review and assess KYC/EDD processes, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring frameworks
• Support financial crime risk assessments and remediation initiatives
• Prepare professional compliance reports and advisory deliverables

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Law, Economics, or a related field
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in AML/CFT, compliance, risk management, or financial crime monitoring
• Solid understanding of AML/CFT frameworks, KYC/EDD, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting
• Familiarity with CBI AML/CFT regulations, FATF recommendations, and global best practices
• Professional certifications are an advantage: CAMS, ICA, or equivalent AML qualifications
• Experience working with AML systems, customer risk scoring models, or screening tools is a plus
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills
