BDO Jordan Contributes to Green Hydrogen Sustainability Study and Multi-Stakeholder Policy Dialogue

BDO Jordan participated as a technical contributor and analytical partner in the development and presentation of the study “ESSG Framework for Green Hydrogen Development in Jordan,” prepared for Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES). The study provides a structured assessment of the Economic, Environmental, Social, and Governance (EESG) dimensions shaping the development of Jordan’s emerging green hydrogen sector and its alignment with international sustainability standards.

Developed through technical analysis, stakeholder consultations, and international benchmarking, the study examines opportunities and risks associated with green hydrogen investments, including governance readiness, environmental sustainability considerations, economic value creation, and social inclusion aspects. The report aims to support policymakers, industry stakeholders, and development partners in advancing informed and balanced decision-making for Jordan’s energy transition.

The study findings were presented during a multi-stakeholder workshop held on 17 February 2026, bringing together representatives from government institutions, energy experts, private sector actors, and development organizations. During the workshop, BDO Jordan contributed to technical discussions and expert dialogue focused on sustainable investment pathways, regulatory considerations, and long-term sector development priorities.

The workshop provided a platform to review key findings, exchange perspectives across institutions, and strengthen evidence-based policy dialogue supporting the responsible development of green hydrogen in Jordan.

BDO Jordan’s contribution to this initiative reflects the firm’s expanding portfolio of Green and Sustainability Advisory Services, through which the firm supports public and private sector clients in areas including sustainability strategy, ESG and governance frameworks, climate and energy transition advisory, sustainable reporting, and policy and institutional development aligned with international best practices.
