BDO Jordan Participates in Launch of National Consulting Strategy

Amman – 17 August 2025

Jordan has taken a decisive step to formalize and expand its consulting industry with the launch of the National Strategy for the Management Consulting Sector (2025–2028), unveiled in Amman under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Yarub Qudah, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply. The ceremony, held at the Four Seasons Hotel and attended by government officials, private sector leaders, and international partners, set out a three-year roadmap aimed at raising standards, strengthening competitiveness, and embedding consulting more firmly in Jordan’s economic fabric.

Among the institutions represented was BDO Jordan, with Eng. Azzam Hamaydeh, Advisory Partner, underscoring the firm’s active role in shaping the sector’s future according to global best practices. As one of the consulting firms that contributed to the development of the strategy, BDO Jordan remains a committed member, engaged in supporting its implementation and ensuring its sustainability.

For Jordan, where services already account for more than 60 percent of GDP and nearly 80 percent of employment, the decision to elevate consulting to a national priority is far more than symbolic. It reflects recognition of a fast-growing regional market—valued at over USD 6 billion in the Middle East alone—and highlights the opportunity for Jordanian firms to establish themselves as credible regional players.

“The launch of this strategy marks a pivotal moment for the Jordanian consulting sector,” Hamaydeh said on the sidelines of the event. “At BDO Jordan, we believe in the power of knowledge, innovation, and global best practices to drive sustainable growth. We are proud to contribute to positioning Jordan as a regional hub for consulting excellence.”

For a USD 50-billion economy that relies heavily on its service base, the strategic integration of consulting carries significant weight. Today, the sector is not only about producing advisory reports but also about accelerating digital transformation, enhancing governance frameworks, and embedding sustainability across both public and private institutions. If delivered effectively, the strategy could turn consulting into one of the country’s engines of modernization—attracting investment, improving institutional performance, and sharpening Jordan’s competitive edge.

BDO Jordan, member of the BDO global network, and representing it in Jordan and Iraq has pledged to continue contributing its regional and international expertise to the sector. By combining global knowledge with local insight, the firm aims to ensure that Jordan’s consulting industry not only meets international standards but also helps define them.

In economic circles, the launch is seen as a marker of Jordan’s ambition to transform into a knowledge-driven, service-exporting economy. With a clear national strategy, strong institutional support, and the active engagement of firms such as BDO Jordan, the next three years could well determine whether consulting becomes one of the country’s most valuable national assets.
