Expression of Interest Call for Startups Operating in the Care and Technology Sector

Call for Startups in Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq

BDO is currently preparing to implement a regional project aimed at supporting and accelerating the growth of technology-enabled startups operating in the Care Economy in Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq.

As part of the project preparation, BDO invites eligible startups to express their interest and provide preliminary information about their businesses and growth plans. The objective is to build a database of startups that may potentially be engaged in the project, should the project be awarded and implemented.

Target Sectors
We are looking for startups that provide innovative, technology-enabled solutions in one of the following areas:
• Childcare
• Elderly Care
• Services for persons with disabilities
• Care platforms and on-demand services
• Child transportation solutions and care-related logistics
• Employer-supported childcare solutions
• Nursery and care provider management systems
• Educational and recreational activity platforms and after-school services
• AI and automation solutions for the care sector
• Any innovative technology solutions that contribute to improving access to care services, or enhancing their
quality or efficiency

Initial Eligibility Criteria

It is preferable that the applying company meets the following criteria:
• Be registered or operating in Jordan, Lebanon or Iraq.
• Be a startup or an early-growth-stage company.
• Have an existing product or service, or a ready-to-use prototype.
• Have a business model that is primarily based on digital technology.
• Have a clear vision for growth and expansion.
• Be interested in obtaining funding or investment to support growth.
• Contribute directly or indirectly to improving care services, empowering women, or supporting families.

• Business assessment and diagnostics.
• Business model development and growth strategies.
• Operational and financial advisory services.
• Investment readiness support.
• Development of investment materials.
• Linkages with investors and strategic partners.
• Specialized technical and technology support services to support growth and expansion.
