AZZAM HAMAIDEH

Dr. Azzam Hamaideh is the Advisory Partner – Technical and Management Consulting Services at BDO Jordan, with over 21 years of experience in managing development projects, including sustainable development initiatives in the water, energy, environmental, and industrial sectors, as well as conducting research, evaluations, and specialized studies.

He holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) from the International Business Academy of Switzerland (IBAS), Zurich, graduating with an Excellent evaluation. His doctoral dissertation, titled “The Role of AI-Enabled Digital Governance in Enhancing ESG Reporting Quality and Organizational Impact: Evidence from Companies Listed on the Amman Stock Exchange,” examines the intersection of artificial intelligence, digital governance, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting, and organizational performance. His research complements his professional expertise in sustainability advisory, governance, and institutional transformation.

Dr. Azzam has extensive experience in the industrial sector, real estate, and facilities management. His expertise includes organizational strengthening through the development of internal systems, policies, and procedures covering procurement, production controls, asset management, risk management, feasibility studies, and life cycle cost analysis.

His work also encompasses sustainability, environmental management, resource efficiency, and institutional development. Combining technical expertise with management consulting and doctoral research, he brings an integrated perspective to advising organizations on sustainability, ESG reporting, digital governance, and operational improvement.

Throughout his career, Dr. Azzam has contributed to major projects and development initiatives in Jordan and across the Middle East, working with international organizations and development partners, including the World Bank, UNICEF, UNDP, GIZ, and USAID.

Dr. Azzam holds professional certifications in Clean Development Mechanisms (CDM) from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), Republic of Korea, and Transfer of Environmentally Sound Technology (TEST) from UNIDO. He is also an accredited trainer for the SwitchMed Green Entrepreneurship Programme with SCP/RAC. His additional professional qualifications include Project Management Professional (PMP), ISO 9001:2000, Internal Audit, ISO 18001:2007, and ISO 14046.
