Mohannad brings over 24 years of extensive experience in taxation, during which he has gained advanced cumulative expertise through hands-on practice in strategic tax planning and comprehensive tax advisory services. His expertise covers international tax treaties (bilateral and multilateral), Transfer Pricing, corporate income tax, as well as indirect taxes such as VAT and withholding tax. He also has deep experience in designing and implementing tailored tax solutions for restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and in managing and resolving complex tax disputes.
Throughout his distinguished career, Mohannad has played a pivotal role in supporting local and international companies by developing advanced tax strategies aligned with global best practices and standards. His contributions were recently recognized by a Certificate of Appreciation from the World Bank for his expertise in the B-READY 2025 Project, and a Certificate of Recognition from Bloomberg Industry Group for his role as an author and internationally accredited tax expert in advancing global tax knowledge and thought leadership.
Prior to joining BDO, Mohannad served as a Tax Director at KPMG, where he was responsible for reviewing complex tax returns, identifying and analyzing tax risks, supervising accounting teams, managing tax computations, ensuring compliance, and coordinating tax audits. In addition to his advisory work, Mohannad has delivered numerous training programs on taxation, accounting, and financial investigation. He is the author of “Explanation of Transfer Pricing,” the first specialized publication of its kind in Jordan and the Arab world, clarifying complex transfer pricing concepts in accordance with OECD guidelines. His Master’s dissertation was titled: “The Legal Framework for Addressing Transfer Pricing in Jordanian Legislation - A Comparative Study.”
Over the course of his career, Mohannad has led significant tax and advisory assignments for local, regional, and international entities across sectors including banking, insurance, manufacturing, healthcare, transport, public services, trade, leasing, construction, and telecommunications. He has also contributed to major VAT projects for prominent clients in the GCC. Recently, he was appointed as a Member of the Training, Development and Tax Awareness Committee of the Federation of Arab Tax Experts, pursuant to Board Resolution No. (1) of 2025 issued on 25 June 2025, recognizing his distinguished career.
